that is a cracker bet it went off i got 1 years ago only went 18kg but did get him on 6kg gear and it went really hard can only imagine what a 40kg went like and on a popper makes it even more special
Picture of the Year! Not Picture of the Month...What a fish on a popper! Congratulations and what a fantastic fishing memory seeing that smash a popper! Well done Jay!
Wahooooo!
Rosco
Well the mackie was caught on 50lb and the wahoo was caught on 130lb GT gear so it's hard to compare but I reckon the wahoo was more powerful and faster.
LPB's biggest wahoo was caught some years ago and would have weighed in over 60kg when caught. When it was brought to dock after a whole day out it still tipped the scales at 59.4kg.
It was caught on a minnow and a stella 20000 trolling mind you, so it's a different category altogether and really shouldn't count.
Thia picture doesn't really do it justice, but if you can imagine 4 blokes standing side by side, or just the bloke on your left with the fish, that'll give you a better idea.
