Have you ever seen a sambo that small withOUT the blotchy-brown patterns on the back and sides, 'cause I haven't. Plus you can just see the yellowish stripe along the side, as well as through the eye, which is exclusive to YTK's.
Ive caught sambos in the swan with and without blotchy patches. Ive also caught juvi YTK and they have very distinctive yellowtail and pectoral fins.
But then again hard to tell from the angle of the pics. Im sitting on the fence on this one.
Looks pretty lean to be a sambo, and the countershading down the middle makes it look like a YTK. A profile shot would make it pretty clear what it is.

Juvi Ambo!
Hard one at that angle but juvi YTK have a very prominant yellow strip & fins and slender body (see my pic)
