under a grand

Seen them advertised at $990 , Ryan would of discounted it even further for Jay I would say.

Good on ya Ryan for offering a discount ( and not needing a push )

getting one myself for a spinner as the little SAltist I have is good enough for a O/H jigger as well as the couple of 6/0 penns I have .

Fantastic reel for jigging should see you a lot of good years JAY.

This was Ryans reel Mav, seen very little use so picked it up for a very good price second hand, as new condition. Wouldn't have even known that it had been used if he didn't tell me, could of almost sold it as a brand new reel.

Aus post are pretty useless bro, we called up and quoted the tracking number because we were starting to get worried that it hadn't arrived. They told us that it didn't exist and that registered post number never left perth! At first I thought Ryan might have given us the wrong number by mistake (typo) but when it finally arrived we checked and as it turns out, the number Ryan gave me was correct... dunno what australia post were on about :/

Shinny reel eh!

Fri, 2006-11-10 11:20

Nice eh Jay :)

Yeh I've got nearly every model in the Stella range and I've had double ups also!

I've sold off 2 models with my 20k going to Jay, the reel is in very very good nick as I look after my gear!

I'm currently jigging shallow water and deep also with my Stella 8k matched to a 30-50lb Jigmaster stick and 50lb Daiwa PE multi colour braid.

I have many outfits and knew Jay was chasin a deal, he got one :)

Cheers

"would like to read pros & cons of the magnum narrow 665 twin drag reels."

pros = great cranking power, smooth drag, many mods available (not all necessary), very light
cons = has its LIMITS, needs regular servicing, few retailers in perth, high price for retail in perth, not sure where to get it serviced in perth

very happy to use mine to pump sambos after sambo after amberjack after yellowtail kingfish after tuna after dogtooth anyday. if only i could find that kind of fish ;)

there have been problems, as all reels do. but maintenance and angler awareness can preserve it for a long time.

fantastic for me... but thats me. and mine has a modified cam washer (for higher drag settings with less stress on some parts, but this means the drag range is reduced) and alum. handle... thinking of mod the arm piece too.

Pump iron to drop iron!
