I've made my boat tuck up nice and snug so no post pressure
with an independant turn buckle attatching to the main beam. That
combined with a heavy duty strap over the transom is all i can do to avoid nasty stuff like that!
It spins me out how many boat owners dont use a transom strap!
agree with you there ryan.i always tie the front off to the main beam of the trailer and strap the back .it dosnt take more than a few minutes .
these pics are a good reason why to spend those extra minutes preping the boat before driving .poor bugger ide be devastated

Well this has opened my eyes never thought about the winch post coming adrift. I do ratchet strap the transom on all my boats I've owned but the reason was to stop it from moving during travelling. I would hate to be in that situation geez the poor owner of the boat.
Husband retired MC truckie, ties everything down, feel for black betty I imagine things like that we we go to Leeman with boat, especially bloody road trains doing more than 100klm per hr. Hope it didn't cost too much to fix regards

The keel took a bit of a wack, but I guess that is minimal damage, compared to, say... if it was a glass boat.
The winch post looks light for a boat that size, but I guess that late boats are lighter then glass. Have to agree that transom straps are the go.
The sacra anchor sits as advertised though. Add tension to the line, it should pick up and dig in.
