I work in Environmental Management - IT Recycling and Disposal
Having spent 30 odd years in IT I have taken on the challenge of dealing with end-of-life for IT technology and general electronic waste recycling and disposal. I am about to make a move to expand the scope of what I do.
In my spare time I like to fish of course. I drive a Holden Frontera SE 4x4. Not a bad small 4x4, very comfy and handles well. I am a sucker for the odd bottle of red

We both retired
Up until four years ago Bob was truck driver, mc license and I was a purchasing/Receival Clerk. Now retired, enjoy Leeman, 4x4 bush bashing & beach. I love beach fishing ( he humours me) and Bob loves deep sea fishing, I like to go out about 10 miles. Just love retirement, enjoy volunteering at our Club, Bob's on committee. We both love seeing people enjoy themselves when Social Functions are help etc.

Are you kidding Russ?
Apprentices these days in the building and construction industry are earning $50k - $60k/yr. Out in the bush, our mate Jay would be pulling $80k - $100k, particularly cos he is local and not FIFO - locals are gold and are paid accordingly.
No such thing as slumming it as an apprentice anymore.

Thats awesome
what would be a ballpark figure for one of those set-ups?
That would suit my parents on their grey nomad voyage superbly. At least your not stuck driving your house all the time (like with an RV), yet you can tow a decent boat around with you unlike with a caravan. Best of both worlds I reckon....

I dont think they could pay me enough to work there again. Did some cable spraying there and have no wish to ever return as long as I draw breath. I rate it right up there with Mt Whaleback in Newman, Yandi - all those top places.
And why would you bother making a distinction between TP and Marandoo? Isn't it like 50 clicks away? You could throw rocks at each other if you like.

actually - I find it interesting to note that serious fisho's are not that well represented in my client list. my theory is that fishing is probably better phycho-therapy than anything I can offer here in an office. (hmmm - maybe I can claim all my fishing gear as a professional development related tax deduction )
