she did an awesome job to get this black up and what a story to go with it. Fishing for goldband in 135meters this nice black started dancing at the back of the boat not only did she hook it on the bottom she foul hooked it and was lucky as when I billed it there was no hook in its mouth but it was braid wrapped very lucky she listen to everything I said to her and well happy as

2 pinks, 2 drops, 2 easy!

went for a night fish out on the 3 mile on saturday night (10/5/14) hoping to get a few more snapper as myself and a few mates have been doing pretty well out there lately. The night started real slow which hasnt been the case for our last couple of trips and after being out there for around 3 hours with very little action the hopes of going in with a fish were looking dismal! My mate(Kyle) decided he would go have a lay down in the cab after fighting a massive ray and loosing half his rig he was pretty much ready to call it a night. I was starting to feel the same way and as i was fishing a floating bait all night with no luck i decided i might aswell chuck a bait on his rod and busted rig, pretty much just to keep busy and hold that hope of a last minute fish. After a while of not a touch my/kyles rod started peeling line at a rapid rate with something rather large. After a decent fight we had colour and pulled aboard my biggest pinky ive ever caught, measuring 90cms and around 8.5kgs i was absolutly stoked!!:) Kyle then decided he was up for fish again after i pulled that aboard so i had to hand his rod back and set up my other rod with a bottom bashing rig as quick as i could as the adrenalin was pumping and knowing he was going straight back down i was adament he was gonna get a hookup while i was standing there sorting out my other rod. Finally got a bait back in the water with Kyle still not having a touch i hit the bottom, put my rod in the rod holder, grabbed my beer for a well earned drink and then bang my rod was off again! Once again another nice pink of 5.5kgs came up to the boat, it definatly got the smiles back on our faces and after a long night it was time to come in!

cheers Beau

Big Buck Dhu

Big Dhu caught on 4th of April 2014.

Weighed in at 16.5kg (guts spat) and just over 1m.

first snapper (pink)

this photo is from a couple years ago but just came across it again and thought i would share it.

it is the first snapper that my cousin caught and the 3rd caught in our own tinnie. we were fishing in port phillip bay (victoria) and had just bought our first boat. a piece of shit beat up 3.7m tinnie with a 15hp yamaha. the only info we had was to head out to the 18m line. so of we go at first light (had no lights on the tinnie so had to wait for light) and armed with a handheld GPS headed out in perfect flat conditions (10km out in to the bay). halfway out the GPS shits itself so we just keep going for a bit then decide to drop anchor. 10 minutes latter the first rod goes off, and i grab it first. then when my fish is halfway up the next rod goes off and my cousin grabs it and the line is screaming off the drag. he pulls it in and it turns out to be a 82cm big red (6kg), our PB to this date. (not big by WA standards but a decent fish for VIC). he was stoked, as you can tell by the pic.

Monster Bream

Hi All,

First time poster.

My kid with my monster bream 39.5cm and around about 1kg mark, (didn't have scales to weigh it).

Caught from Maylands around the river on a 5LBS line, my personal best for bream and loved the fight.

Enjoy.

Edit: Forgot to mention this was posted in West Australian today 20/09/13.

Spanish Mackerel

Nice Spanish taken in the Coral Sea, after it jumped out of the water from under the boat attempting to take the popper in mid air. Caught 5 minutes later as we moved away from the spot. 30 seconds of trolling and he was on.
