haven't seen the fisheries down at bent street ramp all cray season and from what I have seen they should have been , although I have only got 25 crays for the season between me and my mate plenty of blokes coming and saying " yeah we got 30 today "

 What an episode! As I come into pt peron i ask ol mate thats docked "are you taking your boat in or out?" 

"In" he replies. OK no probs I will dock behind him and retrieve after him. 

I get to my car and drive to ramp and have beaten him there, I park, he pulls up and starts screaming "if you're in such a  farkin rush carnt get you farkin boat then!"

I replied to the dickhead that I was in no rush at all. He carried on for the next 5mins while retrieving his boat so I walked down to the ramp and let hiom know to settle the fark down, he has gotten the wrong impression and I am in no rush at all. His reply is "lets punch on  on the ramp,I say o.k and he says we will drive down the road after retrieving our boats. I replied whatever mate, moved my car to another ramp, retrieved my boat and drove off.

Anyone else into curing meats? I've been doing it for almost 2 years now and have done several coppas and pancettas in my curing fridge and done a few honey cured bacons and pastrami in my smoking oven. Still haven't got around to doing chorizo, salami or dried italian sausage but it is definitely on my to do list.

Just bought a nice slab of pork belly last night and split it in half to make some honey cured streaky bacon and another pastrami.

The darker coloured sauce is the sweet and the lighter is a bit spicier.. Should keep me going till the rest of the chillies are ripe.

I am about to buy my 1st ever boat off Gumtree (the dealer at the boatyard was not helpful) , I know nothing about boating but have friends who are pro-fishermen and know their boats to help me. Finally settled on the one we want, marine mechanic has inspected and given the all clear. 

Have a boat lifter organized and have someone to take us fishing whenever we want (the other 360 days of the year when we don't use it he can take the boat out and will drop us off fish/crays in return)

I will be paying by bank cheque but the boat has 3 registered owners.

My question is presuming there are transfer papers, do all 3 owners have to sign?

Also my banker has stated that I need to ensure that none of the owners has a mortgage or other loan linked to their share of the boat? (ie if they default then the boat could be re-possessed?) Anyone aware of this and what steps I need to take to protect my investment

I have a very simple electrical job. There are 2 halogen flood lights on my shed which have shat themselves.

Ive purchased 2 new LED flood lights but just need a sparky to disconnent the old ones and connect the new ones. Cant imagine it would take more than 1 hour.

 So whats peoples thoughts on these surfers in Mexico that are missing presumed dead? Pretty tragic and feel sorry for the familys.

My personal opinion is that they were smuggling drugs, most likely cocaine, north into USA or Canada, and deal went wrong somewhere... Pretty suss that they had done multiple trips down to Mexico, the area they were in is not safe for tourists, and this shit on facebook that makes it pretty obvious that atleast Adam was not a "straighty".

Just had a reno at home, lifted a deck to make the front door look better. The problem is that we have to get plumbing and Gas to the house lifted aswell.

Old deck had 13mm gas piping, but the plumber claim that new regulations state it has to be 20mm. So he has to change that and with that the price has rocketted.

Googled this and couldnt find anything on regs so was hoping someone on here is/knows of a gas fitter that can give me a heads up.

Does anyone know if xtreme products still exist? I'm having some problems with my Evapack cryvac machine and trying to find some contact details to get in touch with Dave. Just wanna try trouble shoot the problems with him and see if he can recommend somewhere to take it to get fixed. 

Bit dissappinted with the product really, cost $200 and only worked for 100 or sealed bags and now won't work.

otherwise if anyone knows who can fix things like this then let me know and I'll just get it fixed through them.

 Hi guys.  Sorry if this thread is not about crays or spearing fish! 

I have nearly completed our little chicken pen.  It measures 4m long x 1m wide x 1m high.  It will be finished in a few days. Looking at keeping 3-4 chooks, which hopefully will give us 2-3 fresh eggs a day.  They will also be pets for our 2yo daughter. There are numerous breeds to choose from! Anyone here keep chooks and can recommend certain breeds?  Im after breeds that are low maintenance, friendly and preferably doesnt stop laying after 12 months!
