110volt battery charger

I'm in the process, due to our ever increasing $$$, of buying some 18v cordless drills from the states and was wondering if anyone had done this and what they had to do to convert from 110v to 240v at the battery charger.

Yeh mate if its a 110v only
Yeh mate if its a 110v only charger you need a step down tranny. Some stuff will be rated at 110-240v and those do not need them as thats the stuff i bought and changed the lead. I think most US stuff in chargers is 110v only.
If your only getting one brand i suggest you buy a 240 charger and all the bare tools / batteries overseas cos having a extra tranny in your bag gets annoying.

check frequency
you will need to check the frequency Australia is 50 HZ where as USA is 60 HZ, i would do as Vinesh said but the gear and a charger locally
