13kg Perth Metro Mulloway
Submitted by dannyg on Fri, 2010-08-13 08:03
Hi Guys,
Was out fishing last night in the meto area off a certain rock wall, when at about 7.30- 8pm my line went off!, I had a dead scaly mackerel as bait. After 3 short runs the fish came in and was gaffed. It was my first mulloway - was definately alot of fun and am looking forward to eating it.
To all the doubters out there (and there seem to be many on this site) the fish was WEIGHED at 13kg, not just some estimation.

Top stuff Danny
Your first mulloway is always a great memory. And that is a memorable capture from a metro rockwall. You must have had fun getting it up the rockwall at that spot.

thanks guys
to get it up the rocks was easy for me - a very kind bystander went down the rocks to get it...my kees are problematic but this guy volunteered...i was very thanful for that.
just for the record, the last 6 months or so I have fished at least every second night - so i am quite chuffed that it paid off....
Diehard - nobody is trying to detract from your fish! to get a fish like the one you got was great as well!
Thanks to all for the well wishes
If any members see me fishing in freo pop up and introduce yourselves...i drive a white daihatsu feroza...
