3 Mile Whiting

Played it safe this morning with the strong easterlies, deciding to stay inshore.....original plan was to head to Rotto for some shallow sambo action, but glad we didn't as the 20 knot easterlies changed to 20 knot souherlies quite quickly.
Had a quick squid close to Hillarys waiting for the wind to drop, then headed to my favourite sand whiting spot where we hit a bunch of very fat whiting, nearly all over 25 cm and biggest 30 cm.
Deliceous in beer batter tonite!
