35m Dive

Dhus and crays a plenty at the moment in 35-40m, visibility great. Few small sharks around under 2m which you dont normally see when the vis isnt as good and yes fisheries checked us.

Left from PT Perron mate, both dhu were taken with gun. Ground wasnt spectacular, but it seemed to hold all different flavours of fish and a few crays.

Cheers

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

That's a pretty deep dive. What amount of time do you get at that depth? What's the light like?

Around the 20 minute bottom time. With reasonable visibility light is good, only use torch on deep ledges. Dont explore much distance from the anchor though. Difference between a good and bad dive is how well you read your sounder. If your not on a good spot, you cant go looking.

20 min at the the bottom or a 20min dive? I'm guessing the later..

Great haul btw. Havent really got into many crays this season, but still time (just may have to try deeper than i'm used to, but need to search for ground).

Too true. Used explore the big lumps north of Lemman years ago in about 15m. Even at that depth the sprectrum was gone. But man did we spear some big fish.
