Tx Rate and Power are to do with how it sends out its pulses and is different to the 200khz/ 50 khz settings.
Pretty sure I have mine on max for rate and Auto for power. It will boost the power up as you go out deeper.
The TVG (Time Varied Gain) seems to work like its pushing the signal deeper as you raise the settings. I have it off in shallow and turn it to high out past 140m or so. Makes a big difference to the picture when you get it right.

Decella Bobs got his FCV 668 Manual
TX rate ......... means pulse length .. how deep you can go (Bob's goes to 300 metres) ...... 50 pulse lengths per minute
TX power ...... frequency out put power, how much khz power (it should tell you what khz power
Bobs frequency 200 khz.... FCV 668
