59 CM twins didn't expect any as water is cold but pulled one on first troll then another about 30 minutes later. Plenty of firewood to keep warm with though so all good.

I think the lack of travel
I think the lack of travel is a real help Unc, especially for the older players. It's the recovery that suffers with long regular plane trips like the WA teams have. Can't just point to that though so it's got to be more than that. Maybe a combination of the things you suggested plus a little bit of luck? Geelong have been good at getting the best out of older players too so you'd have to think it is linked to training and management of the load.

Pendles looks very meticulous
Pendles looks very meticulous about his recovery from what I have seen on socials and always keeps moving/stretching. Gotta be the key to longevity in the game I would think but it is boring as hell and harder work than you'd think. The teams success and the potential for another flag is likely a pretty strong motivator to keep himself in tip-top shape at this point. Along with a definite element of luck, he has never really been a very explosive player, or certainly never appears to be working too hard despite rarely getting touched which probably also helps.
My guess is lots of guys hope that ice baths and massages are going to get them through but it still catches up with you over time ifyou aren't doing the extras!

The only 10 minutes of football that I caught all weekend was the last 10 minutes of this game..... At this point Eagles looked absolutely dead on their feet and you could have been mistaken for thinking you were watching a WAFL game looking at the standard!! Must have been better earlier in the game. Good to see west coast fans still turning up despite what's been a very rough year.... I feel like the same game at Marvel probably would have drawn half the crowd.

Wouldn't say I'm cock a hoop given my team's form since the 2018 GF (and the win ratio BJ has pointed out), but the Colliwobbles are a fairly common event at the business end of the season historically and something their supporters should be prepared for lol.
As Uncle has mentioned, they're still in it I guess, though maybe not in their best form lately and they have the Cats and Brisbane to play still before the finals start though should beat the Bombers (and win the minor premiership given the current 2 wins buffer).
Wouldnt be too flash going into the finals with one win in the last 5 games

That was a bloody good win for the Hawks Boon. I tipped the Pies but so did everyone else in our comp so it was a dead rubber. Maybe Mitchell's plan is coming together.
Agreed on Melbourne too. Even though the Kangas jumped them at first they reeled them in pretty easily. Of the top 4 they are clearly in the best form and at thge right time of year. Losing junior Daicos is a big blow to Collingwood. Port and Brisbane are just losing the plot I think, despite Brisbane beating Freo. Sportsbet have the Pies at $3.50 and Demons at $3.75. Might look very different by next week!
