Three down - who is next?
We met Nic at the grand final at Optus a few years back. He was going past in a buggy and I said Hi as he went past. He got the driver to stop so he could hop out and talk to us and allow us to get a photo.
Driver was telling him he had to hurry up and from talking to us went straight on stage and onto the pre game grand final TV show.

Yep!
Yep plus Alex Rance, Lewis Jetta, Neville Jetta, Jeff Garlett, Todd Banfield and a few other lesser knowns.... I remember getting spanked by them when I was playing colts at Peel as an under ager. A couple of years later and we got spanked by Claremont in the grand final. That team potentially would have given the 2007 Swans team a run for their money. Think 7 or so drafted from that team (some very questionable..... Lewis Broome) but not many went on to be as good as the boys from Swans.... except Fyfe and Colyer has also had a decent career.

Melbourne gave up pick 27 so
Melbourne gave up pick 27 so it'd been significantly less than that considering he's struggling to get a game at Melbourne, injury prone and hasn't been able to play at his prime for years. I can't see much value in bringing in a 30y old ruckman and surely Port would be chasing him given he's croweater and if fit and can get to his best will compliment their very deep midfield.

Pressure mounting on Simmo now
Do the Eagles go for a thorough clean out or let him serve out his contract? That was a deplorable effort against Fremantle, though he still thinks he has something to offer the club?
As for other clubs, I'd better not mention the "C" word, as some people here get a bit sensitive lol.
Looks like it could be a fairly open finals race this year the way things are shaping up.

More pain upon the WC
More pain upon the WC faithful with a win on the weekend. I heard an interview on the radio whilst driving and can not recall the player but he says "this win was for Adam". Where was that all year ? That one line only highlighted how bad Adam Simpson is as he could not get the player group on the same page all year, irrespective of injuries.
Yah I get plenty would say that was a good win and showed spirit etc but gee, potentially losing pick 1 for a noble win, no thanks.
Yah I hear the replies of tanking is bullshit coming but gee that No.1 pick would have been nice to have banked and I bet secretly there are quite a few WC fans quietly muttering the same after the weekend. No one wants a perpetual rebuild that Freo has been on.
I ain't no WC fan and to tell you the truth I'm quietly happy they may now have lost pick 1.
On another note
Yep, Freo were shit lol
Wasted year really and Melbourne would be over the moon with our shit season come the draft.
Longmuir has a long pre season ahead working with a young forward line and a midfield that misfires more often than not.
Still shaking my head with the recruitment of O'Meara, yah he's pretty good, no game changer and we now have the same type of player sitting in the WAFL who broke out last year given some opportunity in the midfield.
Hope to see the back of Henry come seasons end, this kid is frustrating to say the least, he is blinded by the big lights of Victoria and is gone, huge potential big bottom lip and there will be plenty of clubs climbing over themselves to roll the red carpet out.

Definitely tapered off a bit at the end but hard to maintain the rage we started with. Step back in the right direction in the first quarter against the Bombers.
I reckon we'll come out chewing glass in the first final. Gonna be a tough game but whoever wins that first one, it really opens up for them. The loser will likely have to go through Brissy or Port in their home prelim.
