I was at work on niteshift watching that come in on the radar. I rang Dazza and told him to tell you lot at the ramp not to go out. But you couldnt see it coming and went out anyway.
Its not often you get lots of yellow and red on the radar but that day did!!!

Cracker of a shot for sure -
Cracker of a shot for sure - was an interesting morning. Was hard enough trying to hold bottom, let alone the sides of the boat. Think I won the southern leg too. You northerners just had to harden up.
Cheers Pete

No but Bob & I
had a day like that out in the sound, from memory it was about 35 degrees still as, we were fishing for whiting and looked up towards Carnac & said to Bob bloody hell those clouds look black, next minute wham the thunder, well we high tailed it out of there, heading in lighting must have struck something powerful, sparks every where on land, Bob stopped the boat, put two hessian bags over the fuel tank, and we very quickly came in to the Club. Boat got a good clean, it rained very heavy then it got steamy.

The wind was only hiting 20knots at that stage ,i think we were hiding undercover waiting for the rain to stop ,that could have been the lightning bolt that came very close to us, frightend the crap out Jesse.yes that was rough for sure .
