Yeah Silly, went salmon fishing in Vancouver bay. We took a charter boat, just 4 of us and got Chinook snd Steelhead. But old mate Seal Clubber skipper proceeded to set the hooks, wind in most of the way and then net the fish. I finally got cranky on the fourth fish and hip and shouldered him out of the way and have him a few choice words, indicating I paid to catch the friggen thing, not watch him.

Turned out he was a top bloke and indicated he was used to fat hopeless Seppos that knew stuff all about fishing.

We booked him the next weekend with express orders to stay at the helm and leave the fishing to the mad Ozzies. We had a blast.

 If so, head out to Tofino and go out on a charter with one of the small boats in the harbour there. Good Salmon fishing and pretty good chance of seeing Orcas dependant on time of year, quite a few other whales also.  Surfing there is also good, but cold water!

I was only there for a few days and with bad weather missed the opportunity, but had a great meal off main street sitting out over the water with docks in front of us in a restaurant my best mate had worked at a few years earlier.  They used to get Orcas cruising by the restaurant.

 i fished miami and the florida keys for a week went chasing mahi and king mackrel, got heaps but didnt get a chance to get on to those awsome tarpon. best fishing over there tho so many options.

Fished the keys a couple of times with a bloke that runs a charter called Captain Doug's fishing out of key west can be touchy at times

 watch out in the keys... i was there two years ago, wanting to chase permit on fly...jumped on a more renowned charter down there, only find out that it wasnt really the best time of year for permit...
