Anyone heading up to Coral Bay this coming weekend ? We're leaving on Friday for a two week stay. If you are up there or going to be, come over and say hello and have a cold one. We are at Bayview chalets, 685 Cruise Craft with twin yammies behind a black Jeep.

Hahaha . . . . Good one, I should have seen that coming.
In any event, we will still be there for a couple of weeks and will have got there faster and having used half the fuel my 100 series would have burned. So if you are in the Bay and see us, come and say hello.
cheers

Nice
if you're going to be there for a few weeks do a day trip to Tantabiddi. We did one when we were last there in May. Seven NM from the ramp and we got our fair share of goldband and toona. Failing that please have a safe time . Cmon March... 21 nights in Coral Bay....

Yeah, if I was staying in
Yeah, if I was staying in Exxy I might consider it but we usually get our fair share of Goldband out of Coral Bay. What's launching at Tantas like now ? The last couple of times I have looked there, I wouldn't have a chance of getting my boat out, it was far too shallow. Even with the new ramp they were dredging like hell !

coral bay
Hey cruise control I remember you did ask awhile back about Rubbies in coral bay. Went up for last week in June didn't get into the rubies like last year but still good results on all the others !! A few of my crew had best results in 240 to 270 I was fishing a bit deeper but no luck. A number of members said they had major shark issues this year. I went a bit over board in stealth mode and didn't get a shark until day 4 of 7. No deck wash no old bait no blown up fish etc overboard. Fished mainly the 70m to 90m lines for good results metal jigs outfished bait for us.
My best red for the trip went only 74cm so not as big as previous years but was in 22m on the pick on a very windy day. Good luck hope the weather gods are kind. The 1st 3 days we had was a complete glass of fished 350m using 32oz sinkers, had to bring in the sea anchor as we where not moving !!! ps// forgot to mention when using bait we stuck to squid not sure if that helped with the tax man but it worked for us. Cheers
