Certainly must have been bad for the residents of Christmas island to watch women,babys and children etc die in front of them while feeling helpless to do anything except try and throw life jackets etc,,what they saw will stay with them for the rest of their lives,,

Customs knew they were coming but did not go out to meet them apprently,,

Yeah thats right Scotto,,but half the time customs get them after they arrived,,a month back the papers said they intercepted a boat load,,truth was they rolled into town and were at or near the local jetty,,probally getting ready to hit the local pub and get a counter lunch,lol

The navy helped rescue these folks,,should have got them earlier instead of waiting to get them on the beach,,

government hadnt of changed the laws back and made it easier for them to get into our country they wouldnt have came!

im a plumber who has done work for a afghan who has only been here for 5 years. he has a 2 story home in landsdale, he is a taxi driver and still owes me $5000 8 months later.  he says he knows our law and there is nothing i can do about it.  why did my taxes even pay for this punk to get processed?  there are plenty of poor people who cant afford the $13000 boat ticket here so they wait in line whilst the rich punks get the first benifits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   fuck them!     Australians work hard as fuck to get nowhere fast and the government doesnt care if they go broke and loose their house. my girlfriends day works with someone that has family there. word is the boat was running smoothly and then they cut the motors thinking the navy would get them, navy couldnt so they switched the motors back on and couldnt get enough power to push out of there.. the own stupid fault
