balance shaft yammy 150 fa

Ive got one of the above last service they removed the balance shaft it was noisy they told me it would make no difference ive now been told u cant rev engine past 4000rpm or 1200 plus labour for a new upgraded one anyone else had tbis problem how did u deal with it tia

Youll get an honest appraisal at least but you cant have him until hes finished with my boat! Lol

There are quite a few posts on the net about this, no talk of removing the balance shafts though. Apparently you'll get a high frequency vibration at high rev's when they are not turning. Do a search on the subject.

 yeah the balance shaft does exactly what its described as-very suprising any mechanic would think it "makes no difference".

Who is "they" and who has now told you otherwise?
