Baldies and metal jigs?

How much success have you lot had? We've done alright using the octa jigs, but have yet to get one on the proper metals. I recall seeing a few pics on here of baldchin caught with them but is it a regular occurence with anybody? We encountered a fair number of baldies in Jurien, all on octas or (dare I say it) bits of cuttlefish but the metals "only" scored dhufish, which may have been part of the problem...dhuies were grabbing the lure before anything else got a look!

I have caught at least a couple on jig,one on the old zest baitfish and one on the fanky using it the way it is rigged out of the packet. Both were in jurien with whitey.I know daz has got a few using a shout lighten using the fanky assist with the placcy squid on.I wouldnt say regular occurance for us but they will have a crack at it if they are hungry.

I've caught 3 or 4, and they've all pretty much been on different jigs (lighten the standout but), haven't really figured out what works really well for them, though i reckon the occy tail helps.

caught a few on Fanky's and a heap on SP's at the Abrolhos, but baldies are like blowies up there so it might be a slightly bias hunting ground.
I've watched them feed underwater and they aren't all that coordinated, hitting baits numerous times, turning it around before finally mouthing it. Maybe they are hitting jigs regularly but not hooking up as often as bigger inhale type feeders like dhuies etc.
