The hunt is on so have no fear.
For dhuies and snapper and that is clear.
There will be some fun at the ramp.
For the young and old including your gramp.
We just hope the weather holds out .
So all can just get out and about .
For all of those that have dived for crays.
Getting a feed and seeing the rays.
The time has come to get out of the way.
As theres going to be boats for ever and a day.
Come rain come hail come sunshine .
There is a dhuie that is going to be mine.
As christmas and new year will be here in no time.
A great big fish will make the lunch just fine.
Forget the herring and forget the whiting .
The bigger fish will go down fighting.
So for all of you that will be out for the hunt .
Hitting all your favourite spots taking the punt.
I hope the day will go down well .

Yup we are ready
most probably off to Leeman Wednesday, bought the new release weight (seeing our old one isn't legal) what a rip off $10 for steel one (we got) and $32 for lead one. Boat has been washed, motor run, batteries all a go go, yahoo.
When old fart was at our local tackle shop was talking to owner and his son went on a long liner (in our ban time) and the long liner got 800kg fillets of dhuiefish and 800kg of snapper fillets, thats one hell of a lot of fish that we amatuers are killing isn't it. Nearly made me feel sick hearing that, and we are the ones raping the ocean pppppfffffff

We were told your old
home made release weight wasn't legal, so we went and bought one from the tackle shop .
Synthos old fart wasn't sure as we are going to Leeman, better to be safe than sorry as its a $2,000 fine if you haven't got one.

Old fart has since found old home made are legal
but he bought a commercially made one, just to be on the safe side, so home made and bought release weights are both in the boat.
