Bathurst this weekend

Well after Saturdays final, it will be interesting as to how we pull up for Bathurst race day which is always a big day for us. Depends if I'm working or not too of course.

Cheers
Dale

No interest - to be honest it hasn't been much of a race since the mid 70's.

Are you for real dude

Nearly every race in the last decade has been a cracker wether your a ford or holden follower.

Throw in some fickle Bathurst weather and its on for young and old. I dont remember many cars being within a couple of seconds of each other at the end of 6hrs back in the 70s unless it was a staged 1/2 finish

Bathurst

Used to be an avid watched and still watch a bit of bathurst, but over the whole supercar thing in general when they dropped WA with 80,000 adoring fans (even though its a shit course) to go to Dubai where next to no one goes (I know its all about tv rights) but I still reckon thats crap and so I don't really bother with them much anymore.

- HOLDEN RULES -

Understand they are changing the regulations, so in 2012 there will be other manufactures racing in the 'big race' at Bathurst, not just Holden & Ferdz Sealed

At least at Bathurst we know some one WILL win...lol

footy-ppooootyyy time to change their bloody silly rules, did you read how many wedding days are now F!@#$ cause of the risks of "no-show guests", toss in moving the Chris Mainwaring game being moved and a dozen other events now also up the creek.
I say we all boycott the game and teach the AFL a lesson that they can't just milk people like this. The tickets for the replay should be free too those that bought for the first game.

Rules

Tue, 2010-09-28 09:08

Rules are rules, they all knew them before the game and its happened twice in the past. So 3 times in around a hundred years isn't too bad so why change.

Tell me why soccer here in OZ play a final series when its first passed the post [minor premiers] in Europe and everywhere else except as a money earner.

Bathurst isn't what it used to be with all different classes all running in the same race, it made for great viewing and higher concentration from the drivers due to the extra traffic. Got an old mate from down south who cranks up his converted bus and  along with 7-8 of his mates drive over and stay on site for the whole week of practice and the race then head back home. Just because they are badged Holden or Ford doesn't mean that they are running a matching engine, can you see the Vodaphone cars swapping completely to develop a new engine when they swapped from Ford to Holden and still be running at the top level , don't think so!
