one thing about this rod as in

Tue, 2012-09-18 20:12

one thing about this rod as in the 1pc model is the joint is actually inside the reelseat, this will reduce the chance of breakage by up to 80% as the reelseat will take the beating before giving up on it user.

the difference between a graphite blanks and a solid carbon blanks is the materials used
graphite are mostly hollow in the centre and more brittle, thus if u accidentally knock on to something or have a slight hairline crack it will break once the stress point is achieved, the point might be even before the recommended drag the rod can take

whereas solid carbon, thou it is heavier, it is a solid pc of blank from tip to the joint and only the butt section is a graphite for inserting the solid carbon
it can take way higher stress than factory recommendation, but it is up to the end user to gauge

i have never broken a solid carbon blanks in 7yr of using all models, only problem is due to my carelessness that i broken the tip as i poke onto something or accidentally step or close my door on it
