Looking at going to Broome for the annual holiday next year. What time of the year is best for the weather and fishing. Gotta book in plenty of time or miss out

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

During the dry is best for looking around and sight seeing as its not too hot, fishing wise for me was during the wet as I love barra fishing - love a tropical thunderstorm and a balmy evening beer.
Did quite a few runs from Dampier to Broome to get away from KTown for either long weekends or a week away with the mrs.
Our first trip was during the wet, dropped into the tackle shop and introduced myself, next minute the owner gets ole mate to run the shop and we are fishing Gantheaume Point and catching coral trout, that's service lol. (mrs wasn't exactly happy but it was the first day and totally understood haha )

May!
We have gone in Feb, August and May and May has been the best for fishing. Just time your trips with mid tides as the big tides dirty up the water and make it shit for fishing...but good for explooring and the starecase.

Went July last year and it was beautiful!Later in the year is better for barra as they like the warmer water. Mid-year on the neaps is great for sailfish as they're closer. Later in the season usually means more travel time.
