Billfish Bonanza Exmouth - looking for a crew
My usual team who fishes with me in Game fishing Tournaments are unable to make this one due to work commitments.
I have a 625 Cruisecraft with a 175 Yamaha 4 stroke 2015 model that is all set up for game fishing. Just throwing it out there to see if 1 or 2 fishwrecked members may be interested in fishing the Billfish Bonanza Tournament in Exmouth with me on the 11th, 12th & 13th November.
I am 42 years old, easy going & love a beer. I have plenty of game fishing experience and am happy to share what I know and look forward to learning some new tricks from whoever may wish to join me.
My plan is to leave Mindarie just after lunch on Tuesday 8th November and return Monday 14th November.
We will arrive in Exmouth around luch time on the Wednesday and prep the gear for a prefish Thursday. The tournament is Fri, Sat & Sun 8am - 4pm.
I am happy to drive the boat so whoever joins me can have all the strikes.
It is a Billfish only tournament and we will be skipping and swimming baits west of Tantabiddi.
There will be no time for bottom fishing so please don't reply unless you like trolling around all day, listening to Marlin tunes & having a can.
I have listed come costings that I believe to be accurate give or take $50 so you know what your up for.
Tournament nomination - $125
Exmouth Game Fishing Club Membership - $120 (not required if you are already a member of a GFAA club)
1st night accomodation at the Overlander - $50
Cabin at Big 4 Exmouth - $270
Boat Fuel - $75 per day for 4 days $300
Bait, Ice & Tackle - $100 for the trip
Food & drinks will be additional to this (presentation night dinner included)
I will take care of the car fuel there and back to assist with keeping the costs down.
This comes to a total of $965 for one person and would be obviously cheaper if we had 2 starters. (I reckon this is pretty good value for 4 days fishing in Exmouth)
I've had a pretty good run with the tournaments this year coming 2nd in the Exmouth Billfish Tournament in March & crewing for the Champion Female WA Open, Champion Junior Billfish at the Dampier Classic & Champion Smallfry Team at last months Australian Junior Billfish Tournament held in Exmouth.
If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll get back to you in the coming days.
Cheers
Scott.

Bonanza
Bonanza is a good comp, gotta love multi sail hookups without having to go all the way to Broome.
