Birdport/Bercher Point Wanbro Sound

Im gonna head out there tonight (6pm till 10/11pm) and give it a crack for big things. have found a nice looking gut on google earth that i will be feeding the berly into along with some big baits.
Anyone fished that area before? Would i be better off heading back around the carpark and fishing the 16m drop off?

Bitten off twice on friday
Have been doing a bit around the murray reef from becher point towards madora bay 8mtr - 14mtr range,
Plenty of big skippy & small snapper 400mm, Had 2 big bite offs 100mtr runs prob sharks, Shame it didnt take the other bait with the steel trace.
Heading out monday with the mrs for a quick bash till lunchtime.

got a nice tailor of about
got a nice tailor of about 40cm which was sent out under a balloon. but didnt get any interest for the 3 or so hours it was out for.
had a few other good hook ups on the lighter gear, think one was a ray that busted me off pretty quickly on 10kg. Another few hook ups but dropped the baits oddly after a little tussle.
Didnt get to fish the area i wanted to as there was already a 4x4 and 3 people set up where i expect the gut i wanted to fish was. Ended up fishing a very shallow area between the carpark and bercher which was far from ideal. I should have really headed back and fished the drop off.
The berly definatly helped out alot. had heaps of fish bubbling around before sunset and not long after the tailor was caught.
Will definatly be heading back down there soon.
