Boat Fishing License

What's the rules regarding BFL for visitors to Perth. I've got a mate visiting for a few weeks and we're planning on getting out on the boat. Does he need the BFL if it's just for a trip or two?
How does it work on a charter boat, do all the punters have to have a license or does the charter license cover them?
thanks

He will have to have a lic
He will have to have a lic to bring in his quota.
or if you are just happy brining ur two fish in on ur lic he won't need one.
if u own a ftol that's a whole nother ball game they have quotas of there own which cover people without needing a bfl on a charter.
Dont get caught doing anything wrong either get ur friend a lic or just take ur 2 fish on ur own lic
Go big or go home..

charters
yeah charters pay an amount for exemption to fisheries to cover the ppl on board. Its in the thousands so for all those that think charter costs are high this is one of the overheads you dont see.
Better off just paying the $30 for RBFL especiallyif you know your gona get into the fishI

The RBFL
allows a quota. As shark said above if you have one licence both can fish, but you can only bring back one licence worth of fish.
In Karratha we often took out friends without BFL but kept to the 2 licence quota's for the deckie and myself.
If you are happy with this he doesnt need one, but if you intend getting more, he needs a Licence as mentioned above.

It would be a good idea if
It would be a good idea if Fisheries would let the skipper have a multiple person Boat Fishing license. Say skipper plus 1 or 2. That way they wouldn't get caught out by the deckie having an expired license. And could take a friend or visitor out without the hassle of them getting their own license for only one or two trips per year.
