Boat/Car accident Easter (NW Coastal Hwy)

I have just returned from a week up in Exmouth which started on Easter Saturday.

About 120Km south of Carnarvon (10.00pm) we noticed a brand new 6m glass boat smashed on side of road with its trailer mangled about 32m away ( opp side of road).

West side of road we saw heaps of personal items like fishing gear and items strewn in the scrub with a 4WD wheel.

The crash had been reported as it had the orange sticker.

I hope no one was hurt, but it certainly looked like carnage.

Does anyone have some info about this?

Chris

No idea on that one but i have just travelled back from perth with a new car and when i was overtaking a truck with two trailers on i  had it swerve into my lane until most of my car was in the bush i also had a culvert approaching fast lucky the new car is v8 diesel landcruiser with power to burn i powered up and just made it in front of the culvert with 3 kids and missus in the car could have been pretty ugly i give the prick a spray over the 2 way but no reply . I know most truck drivers are ok i talk to a few of them on the radio but for fuck sake if your tired pull over .(in a car or a truck). We could have quite easily become another statistic i think if i had have backed off the back trailer probably would have got us and if i was in my old car (80 series) i wouldnt have had the power to pull away so all in all i think the new cruiser has paid for itself already.

IMHO there's just way too many trucks on the road these days I travel 160km each day for work and the amount of trucks I see each day at all times of the day is just crazy....

Yeah I saw that boat. Be very interested to know how it happened also.

Was pretty surprised to see the outboard still attached!

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
