Carnarvon Flooding.

Hey guys,

For the people who live/work up in the Carnarvon area, how are you doing? Is it all going well? I'm just curious on how badly the water movements and rain has damaged the area. Myself and a few friends are heading up in a couple weeks and just seeing if it is possible for us to get up there for a fish.

Kind regards.

D.

Floods

At the moment all major roads are open but this may change tomorrow with the passage of tc Carlos and its rain band.

The river is steady around 4.5 metres and isn't expected to rise over 5 in the coming days.

The jetty is open, Quobba has been firing with reports of spaniards being caught along with spanglies  and a  few cobia. For boaties, Lady Joyce  has the usual pinkies, black snaps and mulloway, the channels south of town have been quiet because of all the brown water from the rivers and will stay this way untill it clears up , the islands haven't had a lot of traffic with recent bad weather so I would think will be red hot.

Hey Carnarvonite,

Thankyou for commenting and informing myself on how it is looking. I really appreciate it very much so, we are holding our breath's on this trip and praying that TC Carlos steers away and give you guys a break.

Wish you and other locals all the best with the clean up and hopefully we could tee up abit of fishing over the period we are there.

Kind regards.
