Catching Stocked Rainbow Trout In Ponds

Could someone please comment to tell me how to use any type of artificial bait to catch rainbow trout in stocked ponds? I've been using worms this whole time, and even that doesn't work for me now. I've become really frustrated that I haven't caught a single fish in so long and even the YouTube videos aren't helping, so I'd really like to know what I am doi ng wrong. solitaire.onl/

Hi Elliot, not to sure were your trout came from, down @ the hatchery in Pemberton, they feed the fingerlings on corn, soke it in water for a few hours, then try it. other wise you will have to tye your own fly`s. some fly`s work okay just keep changing to diffent coloured fly`s,  good luck cheers Don.

Sweet corn kernels

the little rainbows around the jetty in Karri Valley loved sweetcorn. But they were quite cunning, good at picking out the one just bobbing under a float, so you had to throw a small handfull in followed by a single kernel with a hook in it, unweighted. Kind of like fly fishing.   and those little rainbows were way better eating than the commercially farmed ones from the same river downsteam, they tasted like mud by comparison.

Also peeled prawns and funny enough blue bait . Fished for trout from a very young age . Was brilliant . Now there all concrete trout apart from very few places on private property . Very surprised worms are not doing it for you. Nothing beats 4/5 worms wriggling on a hook . Concrete trout also smash plastics big time.
