christmas miracle
My brother in law Aaron picked up a new boat during the week.So we thought we'd go out this morning on the river to chase a few crabs for chrissy as the wind was blowin all day.
along came the wives and a few stinky fish heads, and as a last thought we threw in a few rods with the thouhgt of flicking some plastics around to pass the time. After getting on the water we realised all the plastics were left at home except for an 80g pirate that was rigged up from earlier on in the week on my demon blood pe1-2 and saragosa 4000, Oh well we thought so much for a fish.
We dropped in a few smelly crab nets around claremont yacht club and tied up to enjoy a refreshing beverage or two. After a quick swim Aaron was playing with his new sounder and out of boredom I decided to drop over only jig for a mess around.
20 seconds later a fish pops up on the sounder and we laughed about hooking up, then... hang on a minute I'm on!
After five or ten minutes and around the boat a few times a big silver mullaway pops his head up at the boat for the gaff Unbelievable,it pulled the scales down to 17kg.
No shit, a big mother mulla at 11:00am on a jig in the river, needless to say we were quite excited with ourselves and the neighbouring boat a little bit jealous.All those night fishes with nothing and then to pick one up out of nowhere just goes to show right place right time.
I told Aaron he doesn't need to get me any other pressies tomorow i'm happy.

unbelievable NO very much believable
This was the most amazing thing i have ever seen on a boat. I was the lucky boat owner/gaffer who got to witness this unbelievable capture.
How many people chase these things night after night with no success and we just happen to throw a jig out and 20 seconds later BANG!!!

Same thing happened to my dad one christmas!! But he didn't land it- he rigged up for a bream and got smashed by a mulla!! Needless to say he got snapped off pretty soo. :) haha
