Cockburn sound pollution

Is anybody else aware of the polution in cockburn sound? of course you are, But a couple of weeks ago I was fishing in the evening near one of the jetties near cockburn cement I had my sand anchor out and it wasnt untill today that I noticed the mud stuck on the anchor, it was almost 100% CEMENT! I never realy give cockburn cement another thought until now in regards to what they are doing to the sound and how big an area it covers (the cement sediment) how the hell can they get away with poluting the water this way does the EPA think this is acceptable? I dont. It's surprising anything survives at all in this shit let alone reproduce.
Just felt like a rant!

I dive cockburn
I dive cockburn sond too and what was on my anchor was nothing like the silty muddy bottom where I dive so why would it be clay that just happens to be near cockburn cement? and this was light gray with the texture of cement I still have some on the anchor.

Waste water
Cockburn cement....suck, then pump the lime sands in those steel pipes right????? Once it arrives at the refinery the salt water is drained off leaving the damp sands I image?????What happens to that salt water waste???? Hope not pumped down a hole some where??? Or is pumped back out to sea????? Is the "Clay colloids" fishy is talking about near/close to the outlet pump????......Maybe they heat it????A side from the 'local' damage which is visual....ever watch them dredging???? I remember the mining extension allowed maybe 10 years ago????? There was about 5 square km of "mud" and floating sea grass with roots attached....look like a buffalo lawn runners.
It stuffed the Parmelia Bank where the pinkies use to live/visit. Unfortunately it’s a sign of the times and "development"
Wait till they get the go ahead on Owen anchourage.....
Basically this topic is an answer to TerryF's Post What do YOU want for recreational fishing in the next term of Government?Maybe more say in environmental marine management … ....but thats ridiculous
