Accommodation
You may have left it about 2 months too late to get accommodation in Coral Bay and in Exmouth, the word we have been getting from people, dropping in to the roadhouse heading back south is that its all booked out till after Christmas.
For Exmouth the gulf is usually the place to fish when the southerlies are in with a glass off most afternoons

Yes
Wooramel is ours but I won't be there for about 3 weeks, paying a visit to RPH and expect to be in for 4-5 days after the op, then stop down in Baldivis for another 2-3 weeks till cleared by specialist, that is if everything goes to plan

I’ve fished coral bay in
I’ve fished coral bay in average conditions many times, if the swell is 2m or under it is doable. Depends on how hardcore you are. You can always fish inside the reef if you don't want to go wide.
I would always take the boat if going north.
Hope it goes good for you.

You'll be fine mate with the swell down, just punch out south and drift with it.

As andy said above in my
As andy said above
in my view you have several options depending on how much you want fish
1. stay inside the reef north or south and fish for little fish or squid
2. go out south passage and troll towards north, lots of people have luck about 2-4km south of north passage marker in 18-25m
3. head out through south passage, head for marks anywhere from a west direction to north west of the passage and drive side on to the wind, then come back in north again driving side on to the wind
we have taken option 3 many many times over the past years in our 5.5m ally boat
good luck
