key thing is the owner was smart enough to weld his gear id onto the steel pot frame , putting a gear id on any pot is key to keeping it &the best way to get them back if lost

Could have been interesting explaining to fisheries being in possession of someone's else's pot, as that is exactly what they are targeting at the moment.
