Custom Canvas Boat Cover
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Mon, 2015-12-21 10:33
I had a boat cover come with my boat however it looks as though the previous owner had the bimini and rocket launcher installed since getting the cover made up and it (obviously) doesn’t fit over the boat anymore so it’s no good to me. I am going to flog it on Gumtree and put the costs toward a new cover so can anyone help me with an indication of what it’d be worth.
The material is heavy duty canvas and the stitching is very strong however there is one area that has a small hole in it and has been patched up. The canvas is a bit faded on the outside but as the boat was powered in 2011 it shouldn’t be more than 5 years old.

Rather than flog it
Get it altered. It already has the basic shape, and a canvas repairer will just have to adjust it. I am sure it will save you heaps in cost.
I have a canvus cover for my Traily 5.4 and added a targa/bimini which was about 2 ft longer than the original (Pilbara is bloody hot!!!) to cover more deck. All I had to do was get it slightly altered in now fits snug as.

Yeah did the ring around and
Yeah did the ring around and they reckon it's going to be a lot of work to make it fit over the bimini, was thinking of flogging it and getting a new cheap cover. Maybe I'll actually take it down to a cover place and get them to measure it and at least get a quote. Would be nice to have a trailable cover.

Standard
Looks like a standard boat cover off the shelf.
look at eBay, you can purchase cheap covers. They all last only a few years in the sun, whether purchased locally or not.
So the one you have would not be worth alot.
