I remember when the eagle's recruited malthouse in the very early nineties and the fans were outraged that a Victorian was needed to coach a wa team.... end result was two premierships within four years.... and the fans were singing..... well guess what, the same has happened at Freo, finally. Only difference is it has taken about 15 years longer..... 15 painful years.....

You've defeated your own argument.... The bottom line is freo ARE in contention because they seized an opportunity to get a quality coach. The eagle's have gone backwards in the same time frame because they held onto a club legend too long and recruited an untried senior coach.

Freo's premiership window is
Freo's premiership window is wide open but only for this year - if they don't win it this year then consider it closed as teams like GC, NM and Port will be hard to stop. And there is no sign of Hawthorn or Sydney slowing down either.
Saint's under Ross Lyon had the same 2 year window in 2009 an 2010 with argueably a better (albeit ageing) list.

When I was really little at 4 years old before my first aus kick day West Coast advertised membership. 9 years later still waiting for full membership. The people who have their name down for membership at the new stadium do not know how lucky they are not to wait so long.

when the new stadium is built, there is still likely to be a reasonable waiting list for both clubs I'm guessing, I've been an in the wings member for 7 years, started at 5000 and some on the wait list. Have only moved up about 2000 places in 7 years. There is a good argument, for more seats at stadium.
