Do moon phases affect marlin fishing ?

Hello again

Thanks to all those who replied to my previous query regarding marlin fishing in Exmouth

Have been in touch with Eddy from Peak and will go with him

Only issue is that the dates that suit me best in April coincide with the full moon

Now I personally don't have enough experience on this topic but I know that there are some who say that fishing is not as good in a full moon (I don't ever check in Perth, if its a Sunday and the weather is good I'll take the boat out regardless)

If anyone have any experience on this and can advise it would be much appreciated

Regards

R

Certainly swords are by far most active on full moon, and just about dead on the dark

I think it does, cant say i ever liked the full moon. Pretty much anything on the way up to 3/4 with the first 1/4 after the new being favourite. Then again sure we were just shit talking lots when the bite wasnt on and coming up with theories. Just good to be out there.
