Electric reel

Recently the electric retrieve on my tanacom bull died so I'm in the market for a new reel.Leaning towards the mega twin but open to ideas.
What is everyone using and how do you rate what you've got?

Depends how much you use it.
Depends how much you use it. The shimano beast master 900 in my opinion is better than the mega twin. Winds up empty and fully loaded faster than the mega twin and I'm still yet to blow a shimano up. Option 2 would be a epoc. Iv had a x8 for 4 years and it's never skipped a beat! I use it as a back up on a commercial boat!
Any one free to help me pull my drum lines tomorrow?

Striker- I use Tanacoms and
Striker- I use Tanacoms and had the same issue..Guys at Complete Angler rockingham had it fixed within a few weeks. Daniel has a lot of knowledge in these. mine was a computer glitch and motor was replaced FOC. Even so, they are worth fixing if the reel is still in good condition..just food for thought

Bought a fishwinch
Bought a fishwinch attachment for my Tiagra 50wlrs recently
pretty cheap way to go if you already a have a 50w sitting around somewhere or can get one cheap (5 minute to install / remove )
less than $500 (plus the reel which I already had).
and it pulls like a freight train......as much grunt as I'll ever need anyway (suggest that it's a lot more than a normal electric but not bagging out others gear cause I've never used a tanacom etc). definitely didn't stall either despite pulling up a 35-40kg cod and the fish stripping 17kg drag! (which we set with the scales th night before) for the first 20metres off the bottom....
Has no electronics thou, no jig function, no auto stop, no line counter, nothing like that.....but I like the fact other than burning out the motor or my reel shitting itself/seizing it has nothing really to go wrong...old school stuff for sure.
Heavy as buggery thou. Think 1200grams plus the weight of the Tiagra!

I haven't given up
on the reel just yet gave it to my engineer brother n law who loves that stuff.
Unfortunately I bought off of the Internet, still a chat to Phil at complete angler might be the go.
After more research I will probably buy a beast master .
