i do know that waeco's draw
i do know that waeco's draw more amps than the engel's do so that has to be one big advantage

The early tough rugged engel
The early tough rugged engel that forged that reputation where all powered by Danfoss 12/240 volt compressors.
Danfoss went out and made their own fridges and became waeco, or something like that as I remember it from many years ago.
The 3 way type fridges have an eutectic cooling system that has a refridgerant that is heated by either the electric or gas and gives of a gas that chills the fridge and returns to back to be heated again.
The danfoss compressor types draw more to run the compressor but work just like your fridge at home. This type will chill a larger volume much quicker and colder than the eutectic. But they will only run on 12v and 240 mains not gas.
Thats how it was 10 years ago when i was playing with them so that may all of changed now and i am talking out of my arse again.
