Just saw this on the net, saw something awhile ago where it was a rumour but looks like it is definately gone now. Looks like common sense has prevailed for a change!!!

Good move - I think there are enough Salt mines in WA between Hedland, Dampier, Onslow and Carnarvon (dont think Useless Loop is open anymore). I guess the area of lease is fixed though, and it is a 'renewable' resource to a degree. The intake ponds used to be great fishing before that got canned!
