fishing Bunbury/Binningup

Thinking about staying at Binningup over the long weekend coming up, hoping to do some beach fishing and maybe even try for bream in the Collie. Anyone got some general tips or suggestions on where's worth fishing? Have only fished there once before (Binningup beach) and only caught some small stuff and a shovelnose. Likewise for the bream/non-beach fishing, any tips would be great, have no idea where to start.

cheers

stingrays if your into that stuff maybe if your lucky mulloway but at this time of year just mainly silver bream and herring also if you can get yourself a spot on a boat you could get into some nice pinkies just a tad offshore

Ok cool looks like the beach is the go. What about bream in the river, any being caught lately? (alot of questions i know, just trying to think of all options in case the beach is no good etc)

From my experience fishing

From my experience fishing binningup, the best fishing is on the beach north of the main beach / boat ramp (about 1.5km). There is a rocky stretch of beach - the best fishing was north of this. The best way to access was by 4wd, but if like me you're not that lucky to own a 4wd, just follow Allan Rd till it ends in a 4wd track, park up there and walk. Plenty of the usual suspects around morning and afternoon; tailor, herring, whiting, skippy. As per usual, tailor fired best in the arvo.

Hope that helps.
