Fishing destination help/suggestions please

Next year jan/feb some time im planning to go camping and fishing for 5/6 days but am undecided on where i should. Will be two guys and two girls and i would like it to be a place where fishing is pretty decent and also weather (likely to be ok). Am thinking a place where i could hire a boat for few days also. Would it be better to head south somwhere or somewhere north like kalbarri etc etc? Anby suggestions on this would be much appreciatedd.

My first choice is generally Kalbarri.

Bear in mind though that Jan/Feb could be quite hot and it is full-on in the holidays.

Augusta and Walpole are great places to go and not tooo far away.

2nd for walpole Peaceful bay

2nd for walpole

Peaceful bay pretty nice down thee, esp in summer. Usually friendly with the winds too. Some great beaches to get to 4WDing, but can get soft so recovery gear is good.

Get to fish your own  rocky headlands all to yourself. Some sensational fishing down there, seen some big sambo's cruising the rocks.

Should be able to hire a small boat (all you will need) in town and launch from peaceful bay. Dont need to travel far to find fish!

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

im heading north early

Tue, 2011-11-15 11:07

im heading north early january to coral bay, i find most people head north mid year to escape the winter and head down south around chrissy time for the nice weather, so im doing the opposite so its not packed...
