Jurien is no windier than Rotto, Two Rocks, Mindarie or Carnarvon. Currently about 2kts.

Fishing has been epic mate, plenty of honky head Pinks, Dhueys everywhere, we caught 21  on jig yesterday with the biggest just under 17kg, Sambos thick in spots and Baldies ontop of the banks. Yellowtail Kings to 30kg behind Seaward ledge, Skippy all through the Bay, Tailor and Mulloway around Hill River and Kingy Bay. The new Jetty and South Marina Wall have seen Pink Snapper to 90cm caught early morning.

Whitey.......

not meaning to offend Craig, but as most people know Jurien can be pretty damn windy for a fair portion of the year, but as you say the fishing can be sensational.  cheers

I tangled with a few good size shallow water sambos to aprox 15kgs up there on the weekend, also picked up a 10kg dhuie in 10m's. So even if the wind is up a bit there is still the inshore option.

Yeah we got lucky with the weather on the weekend, I was on the trip that Whitey is referring to, also went out the day before that.

Around 3m of swell, but wind was quite reasonable, and the fish were playing ball - so a great day out! Will post a report as soon as some of these guys send me their pics!

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
