Fishy Rumour
Submitted by Tim on Thu, 2007-07-05 19:51
Heard a nasty rumour today that Jimbo might of actually caught a fish on his boat today that was edible .
Still waiting for confirmation in the way of a fishing report and pics to be posted.
Might be having trouble as hes never had to do it before .

No rumour all true
No rumor yes its all true but credit for the day must be given to Chezza!
Was a early morning start in the cockburn sound at a spot organised by Troy. Got there at 5.45am ready to start the waiting game.
Just after sun up the first snapper came on the bite, however it was lost at the side of the boat. Blame myself for not being quick enough with the net. Thankfully about 15 minutes or so later the fish were sniffing around again for a second chance. One rod went off, Troy was on again producing a nice pink. Then the next rod went off, taking it in turn I picked it up to reel in another nice fish. After the two boated pink's it was quite for some time until another run when Troy managed to boat his second.
Now if that wasnt enough for the day we only had to travel 50-100 mtr from the spot to start hauling in a nice feed of squid. By 10.30am we had 3 pinks on board and a bag limit of decent sized squid. After that we did a few squid drifts just for the fun of it.
All in all a superb day, and another fish marked off my species list plus and a first for my boat!
Brilliant effort in all aspects for a day spent in the sound Cheers Troy.
