Easy as pie, Get some eco ply or marine ply. I got mine from John's building Supplies. Whatever you get though will need to be sealed, Whitworths sell the sealer in a 2 pack and it's very easy to use. Carpet from Clark rubber they have a very good range.

Surely you must need more than just marine ply?

Yeah obviously you need a sub frame to attach it to, you'd want in my opinion 50 x 50 tube or angle so you don't get a bounce when you walk on it. You'll also need a T bar extrusion if you have to join sheets long ways.

Took half a day to build and carpet, cost to do yourself would be around 250-300 completely finished with carpet. No need for frame, just put a spine in that runs down the underside of the floor with side supports.

Cant stress enough  Sea-kem's point on sealing the ply. dont set it too high or standing in it will be unstable
