dont think the crab numbers will keep us happy
drove down mounts bay road today around 11 and its getting smashed. A few of the boats look like they could have driven to South Africa they were 7m plus. I guess everyone still wants to be on the water doing something...

We're going to give saturday
We're going to give saturday a go, out deep from ocean reef. Out early, back by 2pm. At least there is a lull around 1100 between the easterly and the sea breeze.

before dawn.

Willy weather. BOM always
Willy weather. BOM always add 5 kts to the wind to be conservative. Willy weather has (at rottnest) the wind in the east at 15 kts 0500 - 0800. Then 10 kts sse at 1100 before the seabreeze by 1400. At least thats a fairly typical summer pattern with the drop off and swing around mid morning. Might get a couple of hours nice fishing.

im no weather Expert but I
im no weather Expert but I just cant see there being a sea breeze tomorrow with 44 maximum and 27 minimum Just not going to happen I don't think.
At those temps, I'm still thinking there will be a glass off at some stage.
Funny enough BOM says 2pm Sunday its a glass off way out to sea behind rotto, then inshore a 10-15 kn Westerly... what the...
Tomorrow morning the Easterlies will be pumping... I wouldn't be going out early... only way the temperature reaches 44 is with a pumping early morning Easterly.

We're heading out from ocean
We're heading out from ocean reef at 0630. Be on the grounds at 0800 when willyweather says it will lighten off (see the rotto hour by hour graph). Its going to be windy heading out but we wont be bashing into it. No matter what, I'd rather be out there than attending to my outside lists of jobs in 45+ degrees in aveley!
Tight lines fellas!

but im with bodie - 44 degrees you would think a glass off is on the cards
3 months and counting - even the mrs wants me to go out because im grumpy as hell.

Willy weather isn't really
Willy weather isn't really showing anything promising for Perth and swell periods of 12s
Seabreeze looks good for Sunday but i've found Willy is usually more accurate
Meteye isn't showing good conditions either for Perth offshore
Maybe you're looking at different forecasts than me or just wishing it was so? =)

Should be good once the eateries die down, can't see there being much of a seabreeze if the forecast is +40°, may be a different case well offshore

I am very close to the Marina and can see what the ocean is like.
It is blowing an Easterly Gale right now :((
Very sad indeed.
Tomorrow there is a strong wind- and local thunderstorm warning issued!
Some boats have left the OR marina trying to get deep and they are doing it tough even just outside the heads!

Went out Saturday
The easterly was howling inshore but the further offshore we got the better it was, even had trouble getting sufficient drift but did ok on baldie, black ares and kg whiting all in 43 metres 13 miles off the back of GI
heading Back in on the sea breeze at 2 and got to Carnac GI channel and it was still a fair easterly so go figure

Yeah it was strange - we found the same thing yesterday. Out near stragglers the sea breeze was well and truly in, but as we steamed closer to Woodman Pt the easterly was still cranking.
Gave it a miss today
