Hi is anyone out there running the Garmin 7410xsv. I have just bought a new boat fibreglas Allisoin 24 foot and want to put good electronics in it. Have looked at the Hondex and Furono sounders and these Garmin units. This time l want to get it right the first time and not have dramas and headaches. Using these units for deep fishing using at least 1 kw transducers. Thanks for any imput.

I have one. Still have the Furuno 587 as well, got most bases covered. 7410xsv is an impressive machine. Only been out to 90m so far so cant comment on how it goes in deep water but up to that depth, excellent.

I run a SS664 1 kW 50 kHz
I run a SS664 1 kW 50 kHz thru hull flush mount 50 kHz, a 600W 200 kHz B744 thu hull in performance fairing and a keel mounted thru hull GT51 combined 600 W Medium Chirp, 500W sidescan and 500 W downscan.
I can swap the SS264 and B744 between the Furuno and Garmin, I run mix and match cables and adaptors.

I'm about to install 2 x
I'm about to install 2 x 7410xsv. From my research 30m seems ok on a good day for side Vu and 40m is starting to push it. I'm sure John can give you some real life feedback. He's running two Garmins now too. Shitloads of info and screenshots on a the Hull Trith in the electronics forum. I'm hanging to get my new setup installed.
