Garmin chirp sounder help

Hey guys. Me and a friend are taking his boat out deep dropping off perth tomorrow. He is running the latest garmin gear with a 1kw chirp transducer
Im pretty familiar with furuno gear and non chirp transducers. My question is can i set this sounder up as i would with a non chirp sounder or is there something different i should know?
Its currently in full auto mode. Thanks

What transducer do you have?
TVG does not quite work like a Furuno, medium seems best. Maybe try fixed frequency on the low CHIRP, as low as you can go. I had no issues in 500m at 15 knots with my set-up.
Tranny install critical.

Thanks john. Not sure exactly what modle transducer it has as its a in hull and not easy to get to. The boat builder done the install. Looking foward to seeing it in action tomorrow
