Thanks NightWolf. We decided to go next weekend seeing it was pretty windy. We also need to get some tackle for Trudy as she only got the rod for her birthday. Keep you posted if we catch anything. I never have luck land based.

thanks helen for the post haha i am sooooo excited to get out there have been going with my brother and nephew using the mini kids rod haha and catchin blowies not much fun but at least we go crabbing also and i get to eat those. i just wanna get out there and catch something worth while. cant wait to get the gear together. bring on this week.

Ammo Jetty is a good all year round spot. I usually use a small hook (size 8-10) and small coral prawn cutlets as bait. You can buy berley cage and put some berley to attract more fish.

I have heard that it can be dangerous at night. I usually try to get out of there before dark. A few people have reported that their car windows got smashed. So just be careful if you are fishing late.

been down to busso a few times good spot under the bridge i go with my brother usually to australind and catch some crabs.... edible kind  we take my little nephew too he loves it hes just a bit of a girl when it comes to touching them

I live in the new estate just behind Abbey, Vasse Newtown. Love it here, out of town and a 10min ride to the beach, 5 min ride to Occy's brewery

Just Holiday. My Ex Step Mothers parents have been living there, but they are moving back to perth so we get the place back. we use to come down almost every second weekend. Trying to convince dad to sell the jet boat and buy a fishing boat.

I just have to walk through a laneway to get to the beach. lol

sounds like a good spot. Have you ever tried fishing the beach there? We catch Herring, Gardies, Whiting and Chopper Tailor at times. Even get a few stray salmon when it's a good season, definatly not this year though

Yeah i took a plunge on my own and drove down to busso for that comp maybe just under a year ago which i think was run by Damo who has now moved up to exie. It was fun. I won a prize but cant remember what for. Probably just coz i was a chick. lol. got 1 salmon and nearly went overboard.

Oh and went fishing on the beach a few times with dad, but I always got sent back to the house to cook dinner... coz I am the Master Chef!
