Glad to be home

Now that I am home after 2 weeks down seeing the missus in hospital in the big smoke I realise why I live up here.
Too many people who don't give a shit, can't be bothered answering when you speak to them, kamikaze drivers who refuse to let you merge in traffic because they might go one spot back down the line, shop assistants who can't be bothered talking while serving you and worst of all IT WAS BLOODY FREEZING.
For those that sent messages before, the missus is slowly getting better, the nurses and doctors at RPH are magnificent

Later
Came down a few days later after the kids have to leave and head off home. Daughter flew in from Central Coast over east, Jeff and his family from Exmouth and Robby and his family from here, talk about scattered around.
Was down for the last 2 weeks and the lights of town were a very welcome sight.

Jetty
Now that the new café is open it will bring more funds in to go some of the way to help fix the jetty bad spots like the closed off end portion. If you inspect it from a boat you will see half the piles are eaten through with the tops suspended by the decking.
Now if the honourable??? Troy Buswell in our electorate when we had the fire that burnt out a section we would have got more than the million to fix it like Busso got $22million to fix theirs [that wasn't even in need of repairs]

Royalties
Royalties for Regions coughed up the money to fill the gap left after the fire after a lot of pushing from those involved but by the time it came available the piles that had been reserved for the job had somehow found their way to Busseltons jetty so it was a waiting game and in the meantime the end section that was isolated fell in to great disrepair. A lot of locals were extremely displeased with the Govt then and still are.
The new café is right behind the old train carriage shop. They serve snacks and a dinner menu at present and not sure if they are going to do evening meals in the future. This came with lots of fund raising from the members and a grant from royalties for regions.
